Vertix Health Charities brought its Curling for a Cause event back for a third consecutive year on March 6, 2026, drawing 24 teams to Rock Creek Curling in Lafayette, Colorado for a day of friendly competition and meaningful giving. By the end of the day, the event had raised more than $70,000, the most the event has generated to date, to support healthcare clinics in Sierra Leone serving mothers, infants, and families in need.

Now in its third year, Curling for a Cause has grown into one of Colorado's most anticipated charity events in the construction and healthcare industries. What started as a creative way to rally the community around a global cause has evolved into a full-day celebration of generosity, with each year bringing more teams, more sponsors, and more impact on the ground in West Africa.

The event was made possible through the generous support of sponsors across multiple tiers. CCIG returned as Title Sponsor, with Apollo Mechanical Contractors and Patch My PC contributing as Beverage and Food Sponsors. Button Sponsors Sunflower Bank and 5280 Flooring also lent their support, alongside Gold Sponsors Roof Source, Carlton Electric, E-Light Electric, Heirloom, D\&J Drywall, and Sarkisian.

On the ice, the atmosphere was competitive but relaxed from start to finish, complete with breakfast burritos and newcomer instruction in the morning, a Bloody Mary bar and lunch midday, and a final championship round that kept the energy high all the way through.

The day wrapped up with an awards ceremony honoring the top performers. Colorado Mechanical Systems claimed the championship title, with Roof Source finishing second and Hunt Electric, Inc. rounding out the podium in third.

Beyond the competition, the event serves a purpose that extends far beyond Colorado. "Because you came, gathered, and gave, more mothers, infants, and families in Sierra Leone will have somewhere to go for care when they need it most," Vertix Health Charities said of this year's turnout. Funds raised go directly toward clinic renovations, medical equipment, and critical care resources, helping bring essential healthcare closer to the communities that need it most.

With another successful year in the books, Vertix Health Charities is already looking ahead, inviting everyone back for Curling for a Cause 2027 on Friday, March 5, 2027.
